Tip 1: Make sure that the baby unit is turned on.
Tip 2 : Place the parent unit at least 3 feet away from Wi-Fi devices; including laptops; tablets; smartphones; routers and wireless streaming devices. Your baby monitor operates on similar frequencies as Wi-Fi devices; and may experience interference if placed too closely to Wi-Fi devices. If you suspect a device may be causing interference; power off the device and try using the baby monitor again. If the performance improves; the device may be causing interference.
Microwave ovens cause interference in the same frequency band as your baby monitor. Depending on the location of the microwave; your baby monitor may temporarily lose connection during microwave operation.
Try to move the baby unit or parent unit around to find a location with better reception. Walls; electrical wiring; metal appliances; steel; and concrete can all cause interference and 'block' signals.
